Gooseham Barton News

Its all go here at the stables. The new water supply from our own bore hole is nearly complete so no more chlorinated water. Horray. The spring spruce-up includes the new drive way so turning cars will be much easier. The primroses and snow drops are starting to flower so there is a splash of colour about the place again. Makes a pleasant change from a splash of mud. There are new lambs being born and some different horses from last year. Many old faithfulls still here but sadly we lost Megan, the shire horse, this winter. Greatly missed by all. But life goes on and spring is springing.

Bore Hole

21st March 2008

Lambing has started in earnest now, over a hundred lambs to date and still lots more to come. I have the usual bottle feeding rounds 4 times a day and 3 house lambs being mothered by Truffle and Brooke.
We had been enjoying the lovely weather until now, have just about been blown away but thankfully it's much calmer
today.
All the horses, ponies and other animals are well, the girls have been working extremly hard looking after them. I'm sure they are looking forward to the spring grass, the horses that is!

Have a good Easter.
