Gooseham Barton is a 50 acre holding situated in the parish of Morwenstow on the N.Cornwall/N.Devon coast, an area of outstanding natural beauty.

You may choose to stay in one of our three cottages which will sleep up to seven people, or our 14th C Farmhouse that will accommodate up to ten.

We have horses and ponies of all shapes and sizes to suit all ages and abilities. You may wish to ride every day or just have the occasional ride during your stay - plan your riding to suit you. Our gentle ponies are great for the chidren's 1/2 hour rides around the farm, mum and dad can come too, either mounted or on foot.

All rides are escorted by our experienced and friendly staff who's aim is to make your riding as enjoyable and interestrig as possible

Adult guests wishing to get involved around the yard and help out with the care of their horse may do so. If you have not had any experience with this before do not worry, we will help you. Young children may help with the grooming and tacking up of their pony if supervised by a parent.

Lambing time is during March and April, this is a lovely time of the year, guests are welcome to watch and even help out with the new born lambs and bottle feeding.

There are many local attractions in the area from fun parks to historical buildings and gardens, great beaches for swimming and surfing plus many secluded coves to explore. Nearby are a choice of public houses serving real ales and locally produced food.

For walkers there is the costal path with it's stunning views, the ancient woodlands of Marsland Valley and the winding high banked Cornish lanes.

Gooseham Barton Riding Stables is central to: Hartland, Bideford, Kilkhampton, Bude and Holsworthy.
